Meet the Founder

 

                                                             

SkinSmart™ was founded by Sarah Jane Caine, an international spray tan educator and skin specialist with over two decades of experience across beauty, skin, and professional education.

Sarah entered the beauty industry at the age of 17 and went on to own and operate skin-led salons from 2007 to 2019, with a strong focus on advanced facial and skin treatments. She trained in professional spray tanning in 2007, qualified as an educator in 2009, and began delivering professional spray tan education from 2010 onward.

Alongside her work in tanning education, Sarah delivered advanced education in skin and aesthetic treatments, including non-surgical facial technologies and laser. Between 2014 and 2017, she taught skin-focused programmes to a depth now comparable with Level 7 education.

In 2013, Sarah became the UK and European distributor for Black Magic, a professional spray tan brand used internationally across events, competitions, and professional environments. Her work has consistently bridged professional tanning, skin health, education, and ethical practice.

SkinSmart™ was created to provide a dedicated home for the advanced, skin-led education that has always underpinned Sarah’s work — education focused on understanding skin, making informed decisions, and delivering consistent, professional outcomes beyond product-led training.
