SkinSmart™ is not a collection of isolated courses.
It is a structured professional education framework — designed to support spray tan artists at every stage of their career, with a clear pathway from foundation through to specialist practice.
Each level serves a distinct purpose. Each builds on the last. And each is grounded in the same commitment to skin knowledge, professional standards, and long-term excellence.
How the Pathway Works
Professionals may enter the SkinSmart™ pathway at the level appropriate to their experience and goals.
Level 2 is the recommended starting point for qualified spray tan professionals who want to deepen their knowledge, build genuine confidence, and develop a more informed, consistent practice.
Level 1 is available for those entering the industry or seeking a complete professional reset.
Level 3 is for experienced professionals ready to move into specialist, high-level work.
The Three Levels
Level 1 — Foundation
Beginner | Blended Learning
A comprehensive introduction to professional spray tanning for those entering the industry or seeking a complete reset in technique and professional standards.
Level 1 covers core application, foundational skin knowledge, client care, consultation, and the professional standards expected of a qualified spray tan artist.
Delivered through online theory followed by in-person practical training and assessment in the UK.

Level 2 — Professional Development
Advanced | Fully Online
The SkinSmart™ flagship qualification. An advanced, skin-led professional development programme for qualified spray tan artists who want to go beyond technique.
Level 2 focuses on skin behaviour, ingredient understanding, and informed decision-making — building the confidence, consistency, and professional credibility that separates good tanning from exceptional tanning.
Fully online. Complete at your own pace. Guild of Beauty Therapists accredited.
In addition to the online programme, optional in-person connection days are available across the UK — offering the opportunity to practise hands-on, ask questions, and connect with other professionals. These sessions are optional and booked separately.

Level 3 — Advanced Specialist
Specialist | Blended Learning
Advanced education for experienced spray tan professionals ready to work at the highest level of the industry.
Level 3 focuses on artistry, precision, and specialist application — including contour tanning, body sculpting, bridal, photoshoot, editorial, and high-definition environments. It develops the professional judgement to read every client, every setting, and every outcome with complete confidence.
This is not volume tanning. This is precision work.
Delivered through online theory followed by in-person practical training and assessment in the UK.
Dates available on request.
Training Format
Level 1 & Level 3 — Blended Learning Online theory completed first, followed by in-person practical training and assessment in the UK. In-person attendance is required to complete and certify.
Level 2 — Fully Online Completed entirely online. No in-person attendance required. Optional connection days available across the UK for those who want hands-on practice and community.
International Students International students are welcome to complete online theory across all levels. Practical assessment for Level 1 and Level 3 requires in-person attendance in the UK. Level 2 is fully accessible internationally with no travel required.
